Storm Has Passed

When I went for my weekly Chemo this afternoon, I was told it's been canceled and my Oncologist, with a smile, said that all Chemo and future cancer treatments are done and they're no longer necessary. It's been 18 months since I've been diagnosed and told that I contracted the most deadly type of leukemia (APL) and it could take me out very fast.

No more weekly needles, no more daily cancer pills, no more quarterly potent leukemia pills, no more unpredictable infections and side effects, just Blood Tests every 3 months.

Oh My God, it's actually over. It didn't hit me until I was in my car and I broke down crying, and praying, and sobbing all the way home. What a journey through the storm as God held me in his arms. I'll actually be normal again.Thank you Lord.
