Oh my God and I mean that literally! What a wild 6 days., and today is the first time I got my head above water and start reflecting on these life-jarring events. I will post more details later but here's the score - I have been officially diagnosed with Acute Leukemia and this is the type that hits hard suddenly and needs to be be dealt with very aggressively as well, or it will take you out fast! The goods news is that if you can de-stabilize it early, it is 90% treatable.

During the next 6 - 8 weeks I will be confined at Kaiser Moanalona Hospital in Oahu and will have aggressive Chemo. It will be a 2 year Chemo treatments, and hopefully most of it would be in Maui.

My friends. if you woke up this morning and be able to breathe, you are so Blessed. MIne has been a struggle for the past few days and it's pretty scary and humbling. You have no idea how we take for granted this simple act of breathing naturally.

Thank you all for your prayers. They worked and I will post some details later.

At Kaiser in Honolulu

So far, not good. After  2 days at Maui Memorial Hospital for tests, Evelyn and I were transported via Air-Ambulance to Honolulu today for immediate bone-marrow test. The Doctors found cancer in my blood and needed more tests in Honolulu.
