Next month it's Evelyn's turn and she's going to be ....... well that's confidential.

"Ministered To Me"

I came upon this YouTube song while visiting the blog of our associate Pastor at Hope Chapel. Pastor Kit is currently battling leukemia and not doing very well. He is one of my mentors at Hope Chapel School of the Bible.

This song also reminded me of the inmate I ministered to at the Prison last Tuesday. After a brief bible study he was teary eyed when I told him that Jesus loves him despite who he is or whatever he has done that took him there. As I held hands with him and prayed for him he broke down and he also prayed for his girlfriend and son.

This song brought tears to my eyes. Maybe I'm such a cry-baby in my old age but I hope it does the same for you.

Happy New Year!

Welcoming the new year Maui style - firecrackers, fireworks, etc. The video below was actually taken almost a minute late at 12:01. We were enjoying the loud sounds when I thought about my Mino camcorder.

Evelyn has her usual "Feng Shui" stuff or offerings(?) all set up to welcome the new year as well - a fruit basket, grapes on all the doors, some kind of bamboo contraption by our front door (unreal), all lights in the house are turned on at the strike of midnight, and of course for prosperity, what else.

Check out Don's Blog for more Hawaii New Year hysteria

We're looking forward to a very special 2009 when we also welcome our first Grandkid(s?)!
